Hearts/LX

The classic card game of Hearts is a perennial favorite. Now you can challenge your HP 100LX or 200LX palmtop to a friendly game anywhere, anytime. Can you prevail against three computer opponents? Try Hearts/LX and find out ... no cards necessary.

Hearts/LX plays the standard game as implemented in many other computer adaptations, and has many features, including:

• Graphical display of your hand and the trick in play
• Two different computer opponents
• Statistics showing your wins, losses, points collected, and more
• Automatic saving of games in progress (registered version only)
• Adjustable game length (registered version only)
• "Jack of Diamonds worth -10" and "Shooting worth -26" scoring variants (registered version only)
• User-selectable fonts (standard HFN format)

Hearts/LX uses the Palmtop Application Library to provide a standard HP-style user interface.

Hearts/LX will run on desktop PCs with CGA or better displays, using the included graphics driver.

Hearts/LX runs on the HP100LX and HP200LX palmtops. It requires approximately 36K of disk space on either the internal RAM disk or a memory card, and requires 128K of memory to run. An Application Manager icon is provided.

Hearts/LX is shareware. Registration costs US$10, and enables the save game and scoring variant features. Instructions on how to register are provided in the distribution package, as well as in the program itself.
